BCEHL PLAYOFF UPDATE - April 2nd

Saanichton, B.C. - This weekend, the Pacific Regional Championship will take place in Chilliwack and Calgary. The BCEHL representatives are the Greater Vancouver Comets and the Okanagan Rockets after the two teams won their respective 2024-25 BCEHL Championships two weekends ago.
Female U18 AAA
Congratulations to the Greater Vancouver Comets on winning the 2024-25 BCEHL Female U18 Championship!
The Female U18 Championship was a best-of-three series that went down at Planet Ice Coquitlam between the top-seeded Greater Vancouver Comets and the third-seeded Northern Capitals. The Comets swept the Championship series after a 1-0 victory in Game 1, then hoisted the Championship trophy with a 4-3 overtime win in Game 2. This marks the Comets' fourth BCEHL Championship, including wins in 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19.
The Comets will now move onto the Pacific Regional Championship taking place from April 4-6, in Delta and Coquitlam. They will take on the champions of the U18 Alberta Female Hockey League, Edmonton Jr. Oilers, in a best-of-three series. The winner will advance to the ESSO Cup, the National Female U18 AAA Championship, and compete from April 20-26, in Lloydminster, Alberta.

The Thompson-Okanagan Lakers advanced with a 2-0 series win
March 14-16 (Semifinals - Best-of-Three)
· (1) Greater Vancouver Comets vs. (4) Thompson-Okanagan Lakers
The Greater Vancouver Comets advanced with a 2-0 series win
· (2) Fraser Valley Rush vs. (3) Northern Capitals
The Northern Capitals advanced with a 2-0 series win
March 21-23 (Championship - Best-of-Three)
· (1) Greater Vancouver Comets vs. (3) Northern Capitals

U18 AAA
Congratulations to the Okanagan Rockets on winning the 2024-25 BCEHL U18 Championship!
The third-seeded Okanagan Rockets and the first-seeded Cariboo Cougars battled in the U18 Championship held at the Kin Centre in Prince George from March 21-23. After splitting the first two games, the Rockets clinched the series and Championship in a 3-2 overtime win in Game 3. This is the fourth time the Rockets have won the U18 Championship, having earned titles in 2005-06, 2013-14, 2022-23, and now 2024-25.
The Rockets will now focus their attention to the Pacific Regional Championship, a best-of-three series against the champions of the Alberta Elite Hockey League, the Calgary North West Flames, from April 4-6 in Calgary. The winner will move onto the TELUS Cup and compete in Canada's National U18 AAA Championship in Chilliwack from April 21-27, 2025.

U17 AAA
Congratulations to the Okanagan Rockets on winning the 2024-25 BCEHL U17 Championship!
This U17 Championship Final unfolded from March 14-16 at MNP Place in Kelowna, where the third-seeded Vancouver North West Hawks took the ice against the top-seeded Okanagan Rockets in a best-of-three series. After splitting Games 1 and 2, the third and deciding game saw the Rockets come out on top with a 6-2 win. The Rockets clinched the U17 Championship for the 2024-25 season, marking their third year in a row being named league champions.
U15 AAA
Congratulations to the Okanagan Rockets on winning the 2024-25 BCEHL U15 Championship!
The U15 Championship took place at Langley Twin Rinks from February 27-March 2 where all eight teams competed in three round-robin games. Followed by a single-elimination knockout stage, the squads were seeded based on the results of the round-robin stage. The Championship final saw the Okanagan Rockets skate against the Cariboo Cougars.
