BCEHL WEEKEND UPDATE - DECEMBER 7th - 8th

Saanichton, B.C. - The BCEHL has some early season rematches in the U15, U17 and U18 leagues this week! Meanwhile, the Female U18 league has a bye week. Let's take a look at the action around the BCEHL.

 

Female U18 AAA

The Female U18 league is not in action this weekend as they have a league-wide bye. There are three out of five teams participating in various tournaments in Ontario.

Fraser Valley Rush and Greater Vancouver Comets - USA Canada Cup, Kitchener, ON.

Vancouver Island Seals - 2 Nations College Prep Series, Brampton, ON.

 

U18 AAA

The U18 league sees seven teams in action this weekend. The third-place Fraser Valley Thunderbirds (11-5-0-1) will take on the fourth-place Okanagan Rockets (9-7-1-1) in Kelowna. Separated by only two points in the standings, the two squads have met twice this season, with the Rockets winning 4-3 on October 12 and the Thunderbirds winning 7-4 on October 13.

Valley West Giants @ Vancouver North East Chiefs - 3:30 p.m. - Scotia Barn

Fraser Valley Thunderbirds @ Okanagan Rockets - 4:15 p.m. - MNP Place

Fraser Valley Thunderbirds @ Okanagan Rockets - 11:00 a.m. - MNP Place

Vancouver North West Hawks @ Valley West Giants - 12:00 p.m. - Langley Events Centre

Greater Vancouver Canadians @ Thompson Blazers - 1:45 p.m. - Sandman Centre

 

U17 AAA

This weekend, the U17 league-leading Okanagan Rockets (16-2-0-0) look to continue their winning streak against the sixth-place Cariboo Cougars (6-10-1-1). The Rockets and Cougars have faced off four times so far this season, with the Rockets winning all four games. The second-place Fraser Valley Thunderbirds (13-4-0-1) will host the fifth-place Vancouver North East Chiefs (10-7-1-1), with just five points separating the two squads in the U17 standings.

U15 AAA

The U15 league has a lone game on the schedule this weekend with the second-place Fraser Valley Thunderbirds (9-5-2-0) travel to North Vancouver to take on the eighth-place Valley West Hawks (4-11-0-0). They have met three times so far this season, the Thunderbirds winning 5-3 on September 28, the Hawks winning 2-1 on October 6, and the Thunderbirds winning 2-1 on October 19. The remainder of the U15 league has a bye this weekend.
