BCEHL WEEKEND UPDATE - NOVEMBER 16th - 17th

Saanichton, B.C. - This week in the BCEHL sees three of four leagues in action, including a nine-game winning streak on the line in the U17 league. Let’s take a look what’s in store around the BCEHL.

 

Female U18 AAA

The second-place Northern Capitals (5-4-0-1), who have won three of their last four games, travel to Langley to take on the fifth-place Fraser Valley Rush (2-7-1-0). On the Island, the third-place Thompson-Okanagan Lakers (3-7-1-2) play the fourth-place Vancouver Island Seals (4-9-0-0). The Lakers and Seals have met three times so far this season, with the Lakers leading the season series 2-1.

Saturday's Female U18 Games:

Northern Capitals @ Fraser Valley Rush - 1:30 p.m. - Langley Twin Rinks 

Vancouver Island Seals @ Thompson-Okanagan Lakers - 6:45 p.m. - Kal Tire Place

Sunday's Female U18 Games:

Vancouver Island Seals @ Thompson-Okanagan Lakers - 8:45 a.m. - Kal Tire Place

Northern Capitals @ Fraser Valley Rush - 9:30 a.m. - Langley Twin Rinks

 

U18 AAA

Only one series is slated for the U18 league this weekend. The sixth-place Okanagan Rockets (5-5-1-1) and the eighth-place Thompson Blazers (0-10-0-0) will have a home-and-home series split between Kamloops and Kelowna.

Saturday's U18 Game:

Okanagan Rockets @ Thompson Blazers - 4:00 p.m. - Sandman Centre

Sunday's U18 Game:

Thompson Blazers @ Okanagan Rockets - 12:15 p.m. - MNP Place

 

U17 AAA

This weekend, eight teams will compete in the U17 league across B.C. The second-place Fraser Valley Thunderbirds (10-3-0-1), who are on a nine-game winning streak, will take on the seventh-place Cariboo Cougars (3-7-1-1). With one point of separation in the standings, the fourth-place Valley West Giants (9-4-1-0) will play the fifth-place Vancouver North West Hawks (9-4-0-0) in a key matchup.

Vancouver North West Hawks @ Valley West Giants - 3:15 p.m. - Planet Ice Delta

 

U15 AAA

The U15 league is not in action this weekend as they have a league-wide bye. During the bye week, seven of the league's teams will be attending the Pat Quinn Classic U15 Elite Invitational.
