BCEHL WEEKEND UPDATE - SEPTEMBER 27th-30th

Saanichton, B.C.All leagues are in action this week in the BCEHL! The Female U18 AAA league will begin on Friday at the Surrey Sport and Leisure Complex during their first of two showcases of the season. Here's what's going on around the BCEHL this week.

Female U18 AAA

The first showcase of the 2024-25 Female U18 AAA season is set to begin Friday as all five teams meet up in Surrey. The defending champions, Thompson-Okanagan Lakers, kick off their season on Friday afternoon when they take the ice against the Greater Vancouver Comets.

Friday's Female U18 Games:

All games played at Surrey Sport and Leisure Complex.

Northern Capitals vs. Fraser Valley Rush - 10:00 a.m.

Thompson-Okanagan Lakers vs. Greater Vancouver Comets - 4:00 p.m.

Vancouver Island Seals vs. Northern Capitals - 6:45 p.m.

Saturday's Female U18 Games:

All games played at Surrey Sport and Leisure Complex.

Thompson-Okanagan Lakers vs. Fraser Valley Rush - 8:00 a.m.

Northern Capitals vs. Vancouver Island Seals - 10:45 a.m.

Greater Vancouver Comets vs. Thompson-Okanagan Lakers - 5:00 p.m.

Fraser Valley Rush vs. Vancouver Island Seals - 7:45 p.m.

Sunday's Female U18 Games:

All games played at Surrey Sport and Leisure Complex.

Greater Vancouver Comets vs. Northern Capitals - 8:00 a.m.

Vancouver Island Seals vs. Thompson-Okanagan Lakers - 10:45 a.m.

Fraser Valley Rush vs. Greater Vancouver Comets - 5:30 p.m.

U18 AAA

There are four teams set for action this weekend in the U18 AAA league. Last year's league champions, Vancouver North East Chiefs (3-1-0-0), will face off against the Valley West Giants (2-0-0-0) while last year's runner-ups, Cariboo Cougars, (1-0-0-1) battle the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds (2-0-0-0).

Fraser Valley Thunderbirds @ Cariboo Cougars - 4:15 p.m. - Kin Centre

Sunday's U18 Games:

Fraser Valley Thunderbirds @ Cariboo Cougars - 9:15 a.m. - Kin Centre

Vancouver North East Chiefs @ Valley West Giants - 12:00 p.m. - Langley Events Centre

U17 AAA

All eight teams in the U17 AAA league will hit the ice across B.C. over the long weekend. The Okanagan Rockets (4-0-0-0) and the Vancouver North West Hawks (4-0-0-0) look to remain undefeated as they go into the weekend.

Okanagan Rockets @ Fraser Valley Thunderbirds - 6:00 p.m. - Abbotsford Centre

U15 AAA

After their opening showcase last week, the U15 league continues with seven teams taking the ice this weekend. The Cariboo Cougars (4-0-0-0) lead the league so far with eight points and will kick start the weekend against the second-place Thompson Blazers (3-2-0-1) on Saturday.
